"Death Wounds" is Live!
Belated Conspiracy Thriller Book Release Announcement
My head is still spinning, but my heart is full! I had grand plans to write dozens of entries here on my Substack leading up to the launch of my first novel, “Death Wounds,” but then the wild, wonderful rollercoaster ride of an independent book launch took over. Substack and my other social media posts took the backseat to all the pressing, launch-related things.
So, before any more time passes, I want to share my big news with you, my wonderful Substack subscribers. My conspiracy thriller, “Death Wounds” is live on Amazon! (Crowd goes WILD! 🎉)
“Death Wounds” is part 1 of a trilogy called, “Catalina’s Chronicles” and you can get your own copy here:
It’s available in both eBook and paperback formats. Of course, we bought our own copy of the paperback because, after 25 years in the making, I just had to hold a copy of it in my own hands. I am so, so happy with how it turned out!
(Isn’t it pretty? The beautiful cover is by the incredibly talented, Jaqueline Sweet.)

Speaking of paperbacks, photos of friends, family and fans holding the book IRL (IN REAL LIFE!!) are pouring in, and I cannot tell you how moved I am by every single one of them. Like this one from my dear friend, Dianne:

As if these fantastic photos weren’t humbling enough, just a few days after launch, texts started coming in from friends who had already finished reading the book! Yes, actual humans whom I adore, actually reading my book! (Eek!) While each of these texts brings a little bit of panic from my always insecure, inner-critic, the truth is that these texts (and Amazon reviews, too!) made this book launch so much sweeter than I could have ever imagined. Texts like this from one of my best friends:
“Just finished your book. Loved it! Already have the next one ordered.”
The process of publishing my novel has forced me to step well outside my comfort zone to share my baby with the world. I know not everyone will love the book and I’m bracing for the moment when someone tears it apart in an Amazon review. But for now, I’m allowing myself to bask in the glow of loving texts, positive reviews and seeing friends from around the world, holding my book in their hands, with smiles on their faces.

Again, if you want to order your own copy of “Death Wounds,” here’s the link:
Thank you to all of you that have already ordered, read, reviewed and shared the book. I appreciate each and every one of you more than I can say!
